Spring 2013 Menswear saw the strongest runway presentation of white in recent years. Everywhere, from Lanvin to McQueen, Givenchy to Phillip Lim, the crisp colour continued to be piled on like the last pristine layers of freshly fallen snow.

Club 200, Winnipeg’s most eclectic gay bar, turns 25

On the weekend of Apr. 25-28, Winnipeg’s oldest remaining gay bar, Club 200, will celebrate its 25th anniversary in a series of events, from a special jackpot karaoke to a big dance party. Glamourous drag queens, including the world-famous Miss Conception and Viktoria Vanity, will mingle with the guests, spreading an air of promise and sophistication. And throughout it all, Winnipeggers will be reminded that gay bars are more than just shining lights and gyrating bodies; they’re the place where fantasies come to life.

Transgender street legend Baby Dee teams up with Little Annie for a mix of soul, gospel and magic 

There is nothing petite about Baby Dee and Little Annie: with voices that reverberate to the core of one’s soul, complex and touching song lyrics, and captivating on-stage personas, the duo weaves their own brand of dark gospel-soul music. And on Apr. 19, this unique pair will be presenting their vision at the West End Cultural Centre. 

Shandra Levreault combines varied experiences into one great album

After years experimenting with her abilities, Shandra Levreault is finally ready to let her voice shine. In an upcoming OutWords fundraiser at Fame Nightclub on Apr. 19, Levreault will give Winnipeg audiences a taste of the talent that has inspired others, which until recently has not been given free reign.
